Bike Lust

Here it is folks. After 3 months of waiting I got the phone call I was waiting for. My Specialized Stumpjumper Expert Carbon 29 had finally arrived at KLM. I drove out to the shop to pick up the package and spent several hours just staring at the beautiful carbon and flicking the large downtube to hear how it sounded!

I have swapped out the Avid Elixer CR SL brakes for the normal set with the anodized red fittings and carbon blades. The X9 shifters have been swapped for X0 an the stock "XT" cranks have been swapped for a set of the 2010 version that I had with less than 200 miles. Next the wheels have been re-taped with Stan's tape and converted to tubeless. Jimmie was a busy man and I appreciate his expert assistance in assembling my new ride.

Just like Adam's new ride, this thing is sex on wheels and weighs in at 24.2 lbs stock. There are a few things that could be exchanged to make it lighter but right now I love it for what it is!

After taking it out and giving it a dirt bath today I am hooked on the 29 inch "fad". Anyone want to buy an Epic with Yellow wheels??

Many thanks to our sponsor http://www.klmfitness.com/ for supplying such a great bike and to Jimmie....he is the man when it comes to anything you want to know about a bike. Thanks for staying up until 12:30 on a work night to finish my bike!

Garmin activity from ILRA. Yes, that extention you see on the Blue loop is the pirate trail to Lee Road and the way to Brighton State Rec. Area.
